Telluride wishes you were here!

Every once in a while a angler comes along that has passion, and a desire to learn, and that reminds me of me! I was lucky enough to spend the morning with a great young man, Randy Smith. All of his efforts and hard work payed off as he stung a brookie with a size 14 crystal stimi. The photo is Randy tying on his fly, (yea kinda doing my job).
Rivers, rivers, rivers, we love rivers! Seems that recently Telluride has been dirty, because we have been getting showers every afternoon. The rain will never stop us because you cant chase fish and complain about getting wet. THUNDER STORMS are a different case, the storms are predictable and are an afternoon cool down. Morning trips are still producing bent rods and big smiles. Caddis in dark colors have been bouncing on the water ensuring the next caddis hatch Size 12, and 14. Cutties have fallen victims to bead head pheasant tails in 16,18, and 20. As always wade safe, leave no trace, and lightning is bad.
