San Miguel Anglers fly fishing report for Telluride 6/1
Posted on 10 June 2019
Variable spring conditions are in charge this season in Telluride - we've seen LOTS of late snowy weather, which has actually been really great for keeping the water clear in the rivers. Here's the rule for ready the weather this time of year: The water is high when the temperature rises! The fishing is great when the temps are low.
The best bet is using nymphs and fishing below the surface, as the fish aren't looking up quite yet.
Hot flies: Psycho nymph size 16, red Copper John size 18, Girdle Bug size 8
