Summer has started in Telluride!!!!

With the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in our rear view mirror, we are off to another amazing Telluride summer.
The long summer days have put the melt on, and the snowpack is receding. This week the rivers are still big, but this has given us an opportunity to expand on the still water fishing - and it has been really good! Fish have been cruising the shallows, and were fooled by woolly buggers in black, olive, and white. In Telluride we get a great mayfly hatch in June; size 14, and 16 gave a few fish new piercings this weekend.
Dropping a guides choice Hair's Ear in the deeper water in size 16 or 18 has delivered the desired results. The high altitude streams are still producing brookies on drys flies - may flies and stimulators placed with a delicate cast gets the attention of these beautiful fish.
