Early June top water fun in Telluride!
Posted on 06 June 2017
The water in the San Miguel Valley hit 1200 cfs today, and even the little tributaries in town are big and off-color. So we adjusted our altitude, and headed up hill. Today we found that many of the high altitude streams have brookies that only wanted to be caught on dry fly's, and who are we to argue? In fact they liked many different flies including, Madam X, Coachmans, the ever popular Adams Irresistible - and never leave home to chase brookies without your stimulators in orange and green. They may not have been extremely picky about the flies, but they still care about the drift... Remember presentation, presentation, wade safe, and enjoy the great state of Colorado.
